Packed Boxes

I am beyond humbled by the response my letter to Sam received. Thank you so much for loving it, for sharing it, for embracing it. The comments were so positive and kind… and so very fun to read.

The only semi-negative thing people had to say concerned my long-windedness. And that’s not really negative when it’s 100% truth.

I am nothing if not verbose.

So in honor of word economy, my post for you today is a simple but heartfelt haiku.

Moving is painful…

My back begs for small mercies.

Please send Cabernet.

XO

  1. I am also packing at the moment…I’m afraid there are too many boxes of books! Is that even possible?
You may need to have your Cabernet in a nice hot bath to help your back feel better.

Happy Holidays. (Or Not.)

Society says we should be jolly and happy and thankful and joy-filled during these days. Commercials tell us to feel the magic and the wonder. But we don’t all feel it. Some of us feel hollowed out. Some of us watch cheesy holiday movies and feel that we’re not enough, that we don’t measure up.

Some of those people are me. Some might be you.

Love and Gratitude

Poor As a Church Mouse

In this forced season of unemployment (300+ applications and not one interview. Seriously.), I have finally learned to slow down a bit. I spend long days writing my memoir and working on my next book. It is a luxury I’ve never had.
